BCONE Tour and Pour

Camden Waterfront: Reimagining the Skyline

When: October 11 at 5:30pm-7:30 pm

Where: Tour will start at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1 Penn Street, Camden, NJ

The City of Camden, located directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, has a long history of industrial use. The closure of industrial and manufacturing employers such as Campbell Soup Company and the Radio Corporation of America in the 1980s and 1990s, resulted in numerous brownfield sites throughout Camden, specifically along the Delaware River waterfront. Recently, a number of these properties have undergone cleanup and redevelopment, which has drastically changed the city’s image.

Join us for a walking tour of the recent development along the Camden Waterfront followed by a happy hour with networking. Marc Chartier, Due Diligence and Site Remediation Group Leader for Pennoni will lead the tour and discuss past uses, environmental challenges, and remediation activities at the sites. He will also discuss the procurement and use of state-funded brownfield grants to support the development.

Registration Cost:

  • $35 BCONE Members
  • $45 Non-Members
  • $250 Silver Sponsorship (includes logo placement and 1 comped attendee)
  • $500 Gold Sponsorship (includes logo placement and 2 comped attendees)
