The Charlie Bartsch Brownfield Scholarship Fund

Applications are Open for the 2025 Charlie Bartsch Brownfield Scholarship Fund

The Charlie Bartsch Brownfield Scholarship Fund is a non-profit dedicated to: 

  • Nuturing environmental leadership,
  • Supporting the education of talented and promising students, and
  • Promoting the development of sustainable and resilient communities that can thrive for many generations into the future.

For high school seniors and undergraduate and graduate college students interested in pursuing an education in environmental remediation and sustainability, we invite you to complete the following application to be considered for the award of a scholarship from the Charlie Bartsch Brownfield Scholarship fund. Scholarship amounts range from $3,000 to $5,000.

About the Scholarship Fund

BCONE and all brownfield professionals worldwide miss Charlie Bartsch, the nation's passionate voice promoting the importance of brownfields remediation and redevelopment. He was the leading guru on how to assemble a variety of state and federal incentives to enhance projects of interest to the community. He was also one of the nicest people to come into our lives. In May of 2018, BCONE established a scholarship fund in Charlie’s honor.
