Heard it Through the Grapevine - Trends in Brownfield Redevelopment*

Join us June 3, 2021 (3:00-6:00), for a lively discussion on current happenings and trends in brownfields.  First-hand insight will be provided by redevelopers -- an event not to be missed.  Proceeds from this program will fund the Charlie Bartsch Scholarship Fund (created by BCONE in respectful memory of a dedicated brownfield educator…and friend).

Having trouble keeping up with what’s trending in brownfield redevelopment?  Join us as our sage brownfield professionals share their insight and experience in the world of brownfields.  They will explore issues, such as: What types of properties are available?  Are sites being "mothballed?" Are all properties "upside-down" real estate propositions?  Is there access to capital in the marketplace? What role, if any, is sustainability playing in brownfields? How is Environmental Justice impacting redevelopment?  What is ESG and is it important to brownfields? What new role can insurance play? Is there an influence on renewable energy projects?  Do data and metrics matter?  How is investment in brownfields changing? How are financial incentives being creatively used?

Bring your questions, your issues and your curiosity.

+++ Wine Tasting +++

The program will also include, John Cifelli of Unionville Vineyard, an award winning NJ estate winery, guiding participants through a virtual tasting of 5 of their wines.  Enjoy the opportunity to sip some wine with your brownfield colleagues and learn about  NJ’s thriving wine industry.
