Partnering for Prepared: CTDEEP's Web-Based Tool for Brownfield Reuse

Featured as a "Tool for 21st Century Cleanup and Redevelopment" at the June 2014 State Supefund and Brownfields Managers Symposium in Denver, Colorado, the newly interfaced PREPARED Workbook is now being unveiled to help Connecticut communities navigate the brownfields regulatory system.

The Redevelopment Institute is offering a Free Class on this innovative collaboration between U.S. EPA Region 1, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) and Vita Nuova. Learn how the CT DEEP PREPARED Web-Portal helps municipalities and others deal with Brownfield properties increase the success of their redevelopment projects by:

  • Identifying, clarifying, and gaining support for brownfield reuse goals and objectives,
  • Identifying and assessing options for involvement in a particular brownfield property,
  • Evaluating the risks associated with different levels of involvement, and
  • Formulating strategies for eliminating or minimizing those risks.
