PROVIDENCE, RI – The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) has awarded $2.71 million in grants through the Brownfields Remediation and Economic Development Fund to support the cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated sites across the state.   Ten projects in  four cities and towns will receive funding, made possible by the voter-approved 2022 and 2024 Green Bond and unspent funds from previous grant rounds.
